Is solar worth it for you?
The sun in Saudi Arabia is strong, but the case varies a lot from customer to customer. These are the situations where it is usually clearest:
Businesses with daytime load
Factories, cold stores, shopping centres and hotels with high bills, using power when the sun is up.
Sites running on diesel
Farms, istirahas and remote sites paying for fuel, its transport and generator maintenance.
Water pumping on farms
The pump needs power in daytime, and water is stored in a tank instead of batteries.
Anyone who needs backup
Sites that can’t afford outages, or that treat sustainability as part of their business.
And when is it weaker?
Residential electricity in Saudi Arabia is relatively cheap, so a small home with a low bill can take many years to recover the cost of a system from savings alone. That doesn’t rule it out, but keep your expectations realistic and start with the calculator and a look at your bill.
Want to connect your system to the grid?
There is a regulatory framework for small-scale solar systems connected to the grid: an application through the Saudi Electricity Company, approved equipment, an inspection before switch-on, a bidirectional meter and export of surplus at a published tariff, with size limits. A qualified installer handles the process; we explain it in general terms.
Solutions by type of business
Every business has a different load and different space. Choose yours to see what suits it.
How it works
Three steps — and you compare
Send your request
Your type of site, what you need, your city and your approximate bill or diesel use. About two minutes, mostly taps.
Survey by qualified installers
With your consent we pass your request to solar installers serving your area; they contact you to survey the roof or land and study your consumption.
Compare and choose
Compare offers with the same size, equipment and warranties, and choose what suits you. You agree terms directly with the installer — no commitment to us.
Why SaudiSolar?
One request instead of dozens of calls
A solar project is a big decision. Instead of searching for installers one by one and explaining your project every time, you describe it once and the offers come to you.
Qualified installers only
We send requests to installers who provide their qualification, licence and commercial registration details — and we always remind you to check before you sign.
Offers you can compare
The request questions give installers a clear picture of your consumption and space from the start, so you receive offers you can compare on size and equipment.
Honest, no hype
We don’t promise savings or a payback period. We explain when solar makes sense and when it doesn’t; real numbers come from the survey.

Cost guide
How much does a solar system cost?
We don’t publish fixed prices, because they change with the system size, equipment and site. Instead we explain what pushes the cost up or down, so you can compare offers properly.
- System size in kWp
- Panel and inverter type
- Mounting: roof, ground or carport
- Batteries, warranties and O&M contract

Frequently asked questions
Short answers about the service and how it works.
Is the service free?
Yes. Sending a request and comparing offers is completely free, and you don’t have to accept any offer.
Are you a solar company?
No. SaudiSolar only compares offers: we don’t sell, install, finance or connect any system. With your consent we pass your request to qualified installers, and the contract and warranty are between you and the installer you choose.
Are the installers qualified?
We send requests to installers who provide their qualification, licence and commercial registration details. Still, check for yourself before signing — see how to compare solar quotes.
How much will I save with solar panels?
It depends on your consumption, tariff, when you use power and the system size, which is why we give no general figures. The installer calculates the expected savings after studying your bills and surveying the site. Start with the calculator for a rough size.
Can I request for a farm or istiraha?
Of course. Choose “Farm” in the form, say whether you need water pumping and roughly how much diesel you use. See also farm and off-grid solutions.
When will they contact me?
Installers interested in your request contact you the way you prefer; it can vary with your city and the type and size of the project.

Solar energy in Saudi Arabia: where to start
Whether you run a factory in Riyadh or a warehouse in Dammam, have a farm running on diesel in Qassim, or are thinking about panels for your villa roof in Jeddah, the first questions are usually the same: what size, is it worth it, and who should install it? SaudiSolar shortens the search: you describe your project once, and qualified solar installers serving your city contact you with their offers.
We cover commercial rooftops, industrial and ground-mounted systems, solar carports, grid connection, batteries, off-grid and hybrid systems, solar water pumps, solar water heaters and operation, maintenance and cleaning.
We write honestly: no savings or payback promises, and no DIY installation instructions. Electrical work and grid connection are for qualified, licensed professionals only. Before you compare offers, read our solar cost guide.
